After a childhood spent in the four corners of the world, thanks to diplomat parents, and artistic training at the "Marymount Manhattan College" in New York, Alexia returned to Paris, her hometown. It was in her studio in Saint-Germain-des-Prés that Alexia, nicknamed Kiki, painted her first paintings. She would keep her signature "Kiki de Saint Germain".

 

The concept of the characters was born in 2019, when Alexia was looking for a birth gift for her best friend's baby. She then imagined a painting featuring 6 famous characters sharing the child's first name. The success was immediate: word of mouth worked wonders, her friends placed orders, followed by influencers and the press, propelling her workshop into full swing. To cope with the growing craze for her creations, and sometimes long lead times because Alexia paints each painting herself while juggling her role as a mother, a new idea was born in 2024: prints. This printed version offers a more accessible and faster alternative, while preserving the poetry and spirit of her universe.
